Creating Stronger Communities in
the West: Research Project
Good Neighbours Movement is leading a research project in Greenfields Communities across Melbourne’s West to better understand how residents experience life in their neighbourhoods.
We’re measuring satisfaction in areas like planning, transport, infrastructure, open space, community services, and local governance.
Through online surveys and focus groups, we’re gathering insights into what residents need, value, and want for the future. The findings will help guide developer decisions and support advocacy with data-driven recommendations.

Shaping the future of Melton with the Good Neighbours Movement
Hi & Thank you to everyone who took part in the Good Neighbours Community Survey, Melbourne's West.
We received an incredible response from over 800 residents across 17 fast growing suburbs in Melbourne’s west, sharing their views on what makes our neighbourhoods thrive, and what could make them even better.
The survey is now closed, and our team is busy analysing the results.
We look forward to sharing community sentiment, insights, and opportunities for action shortly.
Stay tuned for updates and upcoming workshops as we continue to build stronger, more connected communities together.

"I believe Good Neighbours has the potential to play a vital role in fostering meaningful connections between residents, developers, and governing bodies in emerging communities. In rapidly growing suburbs like the western growth corridor of Melbourne, there is an urgent need for more effective community engagement models and stronger resident advocacy. This initiative is a timely and important step in the right direction."
